Ive just purchased this game and I have to say that Im very impressed by the visuals. The animation is really good. The music and the special effects are really good too. However, the controls is very bad... And unfortunately for those who dont play this game with an i-Cade joystick controller, playing this game is an unenjoyable experience. Of all of the iPhone games that Ive ever played, this game has the worst controls so far. This game is not meant to be ported on iOS and Im sure everyone whove played this will agree. To play this game, you should have an arcade stick or a video game controller. The touch screen control is horrible... Its sad because this game is gorgeous but the controls will ruin your experience. Oh, the merciless difficulty too. To SNK, or DOTEMU, I would like to suggest to make the continues unlimited. Why? Because the controls is already hard... And the games difficulty even on its easiest mode is a lot more harder. Why make the games number of continues limited? Ive been an SNK fan ever since I played the very first Fatal Fury game on the sega Genesis when I was 10 years old (never had a neo geo system because of its extremely ridiculous price tag) and throughout the years, I enjoyed and loved playing SNK games like The Samurai Shodown, King Of Fighters and Metal Slug series... And I loved SNK vs Capcom. But sadly, this company is not successful in porting and programming their games on the iOS. Almost every games that they release on the iOS suffer from frustrating controls and hard difficulty. Please SNK, tone down the difficulty of your games and please, if a game is not meant to be played on the iOS because of the control issues, dont release it. Though this game is only a dollar, no offense, I felt ripped off. Now I understand why there are people who use cheat codes like infinite health or lives to play this game and your other iOS games like KOF 97 and Samurai Shodown. Your games are classics, no doubt about it, they are classics on the arcade and other home systems but you programmed them to be extremely difficult on their iOS versions and the only way to get high scores and enjoy the game to the fullest is to use cheat codes. I dont have a cheating engine and Im thinking of installing one, and if youll check the leaderboards of KOF 97 and this one, I guarantee you that those who are on top are cheaters. But hey, I dont blame them. Heck, Ill recommend people to use cheat codes to play SNK games because SNK games in general are cheap (difficulty wise). To be honest, I uninstalled a lot of my games on my iPhone... The only ones that I saved are the ones by SNK. And as a fan for many years, its sad that the quality of your IOS ports are unenjoyable. KOF 98 and 2012 are the only ones which I enjoy and wont get tired of playing. Blazing Star, sadly, is yet another purchase of mine which I regret. Oh, I havent tried playing with my brother on multiplayer but Im sure... It wont connect. This will sound harsh but it must be said, to SNK... Please, dont hire DotEMU to emulate your games on the IOS. Theyve been doing a horrible job in general. The Bluetooth multiplayer for KOF 97, 98 and Samurai Shodown II wont connect. Based on the reviews that Ive read regarding metal slug games, their so called Bluetooth multiplayer feature dont work either. No patches, no fixes. DotEMU is HORRIBLE... Remember, if the majority of your fans are not happy with the quality, controls and difficulty of your games... You will lose them. I dont want SNK to get bankrupt again just like in the early 2000.. So please listen to your fans. And its very odd and strange when I read reviews of people saying that the controls of this game and on other SNK iOS ports like KOF 97, Metal Slug and Samurai Shodown are smooth. What the hell? Liars.
